One of Madonna's best albums of her entire career. I never got around to reviewing it because I didn't order it from amazon. I've owned this album since the day it came out back in 2005. I got it from circuit city they day it released. I love this album with a passion, I'm always listening to this CD. All the songs crossfade into one another (maybe not "ALL" of them crossfade, but most of them do) so the party is NON-STOP!. Not only is this ONE of Madonna's best album's of her career, it's ONE of the best album's of it's genre. This is an album Madonna fans & Dance_Music_Luverz will be so proud of. Madonna does a bit of sampling throughout "Confessions. . . ". As we all know the lead single "Hung Up" samples Abba's "Gimme Gimme Gimme", "Sorry" samples the Jackson 5's "Can You Feel It", "Push" samples Madonna's own song "Like A Prayer" on the bridge and last but not least- "Jump", It doesn't sample anything but it's a definate throwback to "Express Yourself" "Deeper and Deeper" & "Vogue" it has those same elements in the bassline and rhythm- it's inspired by that early 90's club sound. The songs that I was drawn to immediatly were "Get Together", "Sorry", "I Love New York" & "How High"- Especially "Get Together". Mostly everyone who owned this album can sing-along to "Get Together", So many people know this song as if it were a radio #1. "Get Together" is a hit, It's one of My favorite Madonna songs of her career. Oh! and let me just say that the album artwork is flawfless & unforgettable, I love Madonna's Hair-colour on this album and the pink top and the shoes are so hot! I'm keeping this review as short as possible otherwise it will be too lengthy. We've talked about the samples, I shared my favorites with you along with everything else I love about this album including the fabulous artowrk. Now I'm telling you the album is outstanding. Now all you have to do is get your copy. "Confessions On A Dancefloor" was truley a gift, I thank Madonna so much for creating this album it's fantastic!.
CONFESSIONS THE BEST DANCE ALBUM CREATED
I was at a stage in my life when I thought I could never be blown away by an album the way I used to when I was young, but this album did it for me. Confessions is trully an amazing production, these powerful songs flow seemlessly into each other, you never wanna skip a song. Stuart Price did an amazing job in production, you hear beats that will take you to orbit, Madonna vocals are incredible, she seems to get better with every album. All the songs are a great listen but a few outstanding songs for me are:
Hung Up: This leading single needs no intro, #1 in over 40 countries one of her biggest hits and rightfully so, the track is a pop/dance masterpiece, cleverly crafted by Madonna and Stuart Price containing the sample of ABBA's Gimme Gimme, great video, Madonna is brilliant in creating music that leaves an impression and this track fits the bill.
Get Together: I love house music and this track has that feel, amazing production, put this track on your mp3 and play it loud using headphones, it will take you to a place somewhere beyond the ordinary. Absolutely amazing.
Sorry: Another gem, we all know this one, the track reached #1 in Europe, yet again the production is impeccable, a rather angry song from the Queen herself, great dance track that leaves an impression.
Future Lovers: A futuristic journey in the realm of Madonna's vision, this trance like production, the opening to her amazing Confessions tour, will make you high without you taking a drug.
Let it will be: I appreciated this track even more when I saw her performance of it on the Confessions Tour, so much energy, a strong liberating track.
I Love New York: I am not really a great fan of Madonna the Rock Queen, but this track is great, very sassy, very gutsy.
Forbidden Love: Another beauty you must blast on your head phones and close your eyes, amazing production, I love the futuristic tones on this album, a slower track than the others but you can still dance it, a mellow emotion vocal over a hard electronic beat, perfect.
Jump: Probably the best dance track on this album, great message for the ladies out there, its simple and straight to the point, love the bass-line, I wish she did more on the video, the Confessions performance out did the video by far.
Push: Turn your volume down for this one, it blasts you from the word go, a great hard beat with a positive message, I'd like to think she was talking about her hubby at the time, "you push me to go the extra mile". Would of loved to see this track performed though, but hey I can't have my cake and eat it too.
Like it or not: A great track to end this elaborative production, "this is who I am you can like it or not, you can love me or leave cause I'm never gonna stop", that pretty much somes up Madonna in a nutshell. Absolutely loved her solo performance of this song on the confessions tour.
Confessions was a surprise to many, especially after the dissapointing commercial failure of American Life, Madonna reminded all the pop/dance wannabes that she reigns in this field, and although she will never repeat herself this is a reminder that will never be forgotten, Confessions trully is the best dance album created.
It Took 30 Years, But Someone Finally Made a Disco Album I Like
" I have to hand it to this woman--she made a disco album that I love, and play frequently! Excellent taste, musicanship, and phenomenal production values! It took 30 years, but disco finally experienced its culmination!. When disco first emerged, my motto was pretty much "Death before disco.
Her best album yet!
I liked alot of her stuff that she's done before in the 90's and 80's. I wasnt a big fan of the two cd's that came out before this one. I was sketpical about buying this, but I figured it couldn't be to bad, I heard a crap load of buzz about this cd when i actually bought it in borders. Alot of americans were skeptical as well. I listened to it,and couldn't stop listening to it. This album was really big when this came out, and really made her cool again. All the tracks are very fun to listen to, and i figured it would be hard for her to follow up to something as good(hard candy being a bad example). In fact she really should stick to this type of music in the future. Get together, Jump, I love New york, Hung Up are all execellent pop songs and have catchy hooks. The music videos, the image, the whole package was different and it made her stand out. This is propably her best album since Ray of light. If you like pop music this is a must have!.
Awesome Edition!
and a DIARY BOOK. One of Madonna's best albums of all time, I want to make it short, If you liked the Album, You will be more satisfied with the HQ GLITTERING photos and the CD that has AWESOME bonus track.
Thanks for making this edition, Love it!.
