Customer Review
WOW... NO, DOUBLE-WOW! MAYBE EVEN TRIPLE-WOW!?

Imagine my surprise when I found this remastered, limited edition set.
For thirty years, I have hung onto my vinyl copy of "DOS", hoping against hope that someday it would see the light of day on CD, although I was convinced that if it did, it would never be remastered. Every WB original album track, in addtion to every single, is included in this set, in glorious remastered sound. There is a superbly written essay with interviews included with the set.

I must have played "Midnight Thoughts" off the "DOS" disc twenty+ times in the first few days after getting this box. Hadley Caliman's flute seems to float in the middle of the room. Wonderful!

The remastering is credited to Bob Fisher. Great job!

After listening to this material, one reflects that the SF Mission District truly must have been a magical place for music during this era.

If you love music, BTW, I strongly urge you to go to the RH site and sign up for their e-mail alerts. As RH's releases are all limited pressings, you may miss an opportunity to own something like this.

You have to admire the way Rhino has managed to turn an obvious love of music into a successful business model. TLC is shown to every title they release, and this one is no exception.

With the bean-counter-dominated corporate culture at Warner Brothers, these recordings probably would never have seen the light of day, and certainly have never been remastered.

As a music company, WB lost its soul almost 30 years ago when it fired Van Morrison, Bonnie Raitt and a talented host of others in the same black day. WB's only connection to its rich catalog and musical heritage is through its accounting department.

Our only true connection to that catalog is thru Rhino, where thankfully, the music is faithfully restored and respectfully presented.

Thank you, Rhino Handmade!.
