More than pleasant surprise

I was more than pleasantly surprised at the quality of this band, this is a stunning album. I had heard about the Manics but never listened to their music like many people in America.

Send Away the Tigers
The album received mixed reviews with Allmusic, NME and Digital Spy giving it positive reviews (4/5) whilst Rolling Stone, The Observer and The Guardian gave it 3/5. Send Away the Tigers is the 10th studio album for MSP and their 2007 release and recaptures a harder sound not heard on the albums prior to this one. I tend to agree with the prior. I give this album 4/5 and it contains great tracks such as "Your Love Alone Is Not Enough", "Indian Summer" and "Autumnsong". The booklet is quite nice with some very nice photographs, all lyrics included but one does not get a list of whom plays what on the album. 4/5.

The Manics' latest is very good !

They are not fantastic (like on "The Bible") right now but are still very relevant and very good. Good guitar-oriented, relevant songs played by a tight, focused trio.

great album, must have

. if you are a manic street preacher fan you will love this album it is a must have! i can''t stop playing track 4 Indian Summer it is addictive.

This Album Rocks!!
Funnily enough from hearing the track "Your Love Alone" from this album. I have only recently gotten into the MSP's. And I loved it so much I just went mad and got 3 of their albums including this one. As I said I am new to them, so I don't know anything about their politics, in fact I don't usually like music that is too political. But this album is just full of great songs. From the title track to of course "Your Love Alone",
"Autumnsong" is a big favourite, "Indian Summer", the whole album is just great music. The sad part is, like alot of great music these days it seems to be getting no air play at all.
