Manilow - Must Have
One of my favorite albums from Manilow (and I have them all on LP). Great Delivery, arrived in good condition. It is great to be able to find so many of the older albums on cd!.

2:00 AM Paradise Cafe
But didn't think I would really care for it. To be honest, I only bought this CD because of the good things I had heard others say about it. BOY WAS I WRONG. It is so great and different from other Barry Manilow CD's. It is very soft and easy listening and melodic. A wonderful CD to go to sleep by. One song just slides into the next without a break, whick I particularly like.

awesome

. I think this CD has been one of the best Jazz recorder because Barry Manilow sings with great Jazz'figures like Sara Vaungh, Gerry Mulligan,John Mandell and others; the songs and arrengments are beatifull and awesome.

"Grown Folk's Music"
This is grown folk worldy wise music not for children. Barry Manilow's " Paradise Cafe" invoke's the feeling of a smokey room a dark drink and late night music.

Barry Manilow Paradise Cafe
I don't own anything he's ever recorded; too bubble gum for my taste. I'd have to begin by saying that I am not a Manilow fan. I bought this back in the 90's because it was a blues album. I LOVE IT! Many years later, I had to purchase it again, because the first one was "played out". Collaborating with blues great Sarah Vaughan on "Blue" and Mel Torme on "Big City Blues", Manilow showcases his ability to cross genre lines. For my tastes, this is his best effort! When I listen to this disc, I'm transported to another time and place; a small quiet piano bar listening to a sad soul crooning while the world sleeps! This disc is timeless! .
