6 Tracks you won't find anywhere else plus a lot of great songs
First, why do you buy music? If you buy it because you like music, then do you really need to know all of the business dealings behind it? I don't care, because I got 6 great songs that I've never had the chance to hear before from one of my favorite artists. When you see all of the bad reviews, you have to ask yourself a few questions. If the label has done something inequitable, that's between Aimee and the label. We all have our battles, but I'm hear to listen to the songs. The review below, am I really to believe that Aimee herself wrote it with an alias? I doubt it. There's some obsessed people writing reviews. Come on guys. Aimee has a lot more money than most of us. You can find a better crusade somewhere else can't you? Maybe you should tackle helping the homeless, or solving world hunger.

What you get here is a great collection of songs, and the live version of "The Other End Of The Telescope" was magical. I had just purchased Aimee's new record "*#$%& Smilers" , and didn't like a lot of it. It is missing the raw energy of the past songs, and really really misses the great electric guitar that bled in and throughout the past recordings. Listening to this collection reminded me how good the older songs were.

Aimee, if you did write the review below, I hope you read mine. Instead of getting angry at this album release & trying to get people not to buy it, write some angry lyrics, and more involved music on the next album. The plunky keyboards, and endless slow songs of Smilers were boring. .


Magnolia Plus
A solid CD, although all the best songs are from the MAGNOLIA soundtrack.

Don't buy this, get Aimee's real music
Like all the other one star reviews here, I'm not judging the quality of Aimee's music --which is outstanding, and which I've been a fan of since hearing the Magnolia soundtrack-- but rebuking the industry weasels who chewed up her material and spat it out again for consumption by an unsuspecting public.
