a joy from start to finish !!! Dean Martin, of course, was one of the best crooners of the entire twentieth century; and perhaps he's one of the best crooners we'll ever see. It's no secret that Christmastime music is some of the best ever written; and albums like this one from Dean Martin prove it. Dean always gave his all and he delved deeply into everything he ever sang to make it sound so beautiful; his passion for performing really shows whenever you hear him sing. This album showcases his Dean Martin's remarkable ability to perform Christmastime ballads and classics with style and sophistication. The quality of the sound is excellent and the artwork reflects good judgment.
"Baby, It's Cold Outside" features Dean singing with Martina McBride, this remix duet sounds terrific and the tune holds its own very well. "Winter Wonderland" stuns me with its beauty; the percussion and the strings are very well used in the arrangement. Dean's excellent diction bolsters his performance; he never lets go of a single superfluous note. Great! "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" showcases Dean squarely front and center with a very lush musical arrangement--and that's quite all right by me! Dean aces this as effortlessly as if it were mere breathing; but it was his talent that carried him through. "White Christmas" charms me and impresses me so much; could it be that Bing Crosby might be just a little bit jealous if he heard Dean's rendition of this classic tune?
"I'll Be Home For Christmas" is very sweet and pretty; I always liked this Christmas song a whole lot. The tempo is slightly different from what I'm used to but it allows Dean Martin to put his own stamp on this number. "Jingle Bells" is a classic, fun song that gets the royal treatment from Dean and a backup chorus--not that Dean Martin ever needed a backup chorus but they do sound good anyway. In addition, "I've Got My Love To Keep Me Warm" highlights Dean's ability to deliver a secular song with panache; Dean handles the complex tempo and key changes on this ballad like the pro he always was and will remain! "Blue Christmas" is another fine number that Dean Martin sings faultlessly; I really like "Blue Christmas. "
"Silent Night" is very well done by this masterful singer; and the musical arrangement perfectly complements Dean's vocals. Wisely, however, the musicians stay in the background--they never even try to steal the show away from Dean. Great! We get another version of "Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!" that is very beautiful; and the CD ends with a second version of "White Christmas. " This melancholy ballad works on many levels all at once and the nostalgic flavor of the lyrics makes it a wonderful, poignant ending for this CD.
Dean Martin delivers these songs with all his heart and soul; this CD is an absolute must-have for his fans and people who enjoy high quality Christmastime music. I highly recommend this album--you just might enjoy hearing it all throughout the year!

Christmas with Dino
I finally found it on this CD. I have been looking for this old Dean Martin Christmas song forever. It brings back an old childhood memory. I love it. .
Christmas as only Dino could do it
From there we move into classic Christmas music (no fillers or throwaways), all delivered with the warmth and mellow relaxation that are Dean Martin's trademarks. This recording starts off in high spirits as Martina McBride joins Dean for "Baby, It's Cold Outside" - you can just see Dean, urbane and relaxed, as he sweet talks his lady. If you love Christmas music at its best, you'll love Christmas with Dino!.
