I LOVE Richard Marks! His songs bring back so many great memories of my time dominating the sports and dating scene in Syracuse. If ever there was an album that needed to be reissued, it's Seven and the Ragged Tiger by Duran Duran, but this one is pretty good too. Let me list the things about Richard Marks that rule:

1. His hair- Top that look my friend
2. His jackets- He could pull off a leather jacket
3. His music- Probably the third best thing about him, but it was awesome.

My favorite song off this classic is Angelia, but there is not a bad track on this. Let me tell you a little story about Richard Marks as it relates to my life. We had an 8th grade dance. There are only so many slow songs during an 8th grade dance and there is only one of me, so quite a few girls were going to be disappointed. I was like an 80s Barack Obama in that is was smooth and just promised lots of things to make people happy. I told about 9 girls I would let them slow dance with me and touch my cool generra shirt. Once I got to the dance, they all had their Bpimp tickets so I was stuck. I had the DJ play Right Here Waiting 9 straight times. Everyone was happy. The girls got there dance and everyone got to hear Richard Marks 9 times in a row. Who loses in that scenario?

I'll tell you who loses, Average once again when it takes me on.

Oldie but goodie
but then again I am stuck in the 80's. I miss Richard Marx in the singing world. Either way this is a great album. .

Richard Marx: Repeat Offender (1989)
In 1989, two years after the release of his first album, Richard Marx released his second album entitled, REPEAT OFFENDER, his best album by far. In 1987, Richard Marx had become a big star in releasing his first album entitled simply, RICHARD MARX. This is an album that I most certainly cannot get enough of, no matter how many times a day I play this one.

NOTHIN' YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT
The fourth single from the album. A great song to use to open up your sophmore album. This is one hard and heavy song.

SATISFIED
The first single from the album. This was Richard Marx's second #1 hit single, talking about not giving up your goals until you are satisfied. This is one of the songs where his voice is at its strongest.

ANGELIA
The third single from the album. This song is one of my favorites from the album. Richard actually come up with this song title when he was on a flight to Texas. The flight attendant's name was Angelia (pronounced as Angel Lee-a). He used the name for this title and just wrote down the lyrics to this amazing song.

TOO LATE TO SAY GOODBYE
The fifth single from the album. This is another great song, with an edgy beat and rock sound.

RIGHT HERE WAITING
The second single from the album. When I first heard this song, like five years ago, I was not crazy about it. I didn't even like it. But when I became one of Richard Marx's biggest fans, I grow to love this song very much. It ranks up there with his most biggest and cherished hits.

HEART ON THE LINE
A great song.

REAL WORLD
Not bad.

IF YOU DON'T WANT MY LOVE
I never turn off this song when it comes on.

THAT WAS LULU
Not bad.

WAIT FOR THE SUNRISE
Not bad.

CHILDREN OF THE NIGHT
The sixth & final single from the album. What inspired Richard to write and record this song was a shelter of kids who had severe problems in their lives, such as abuse from their parents. He just wrote the song and recorded it, with the help of some of the kids putting their backing vocals on the song. It was actually the first song, where Richard Marx's late father had composed the music. This song is another one of my favorites.

If you a Richard Marx fan and you loved his first album, then get out and buy this incredible follow-up to its worthy predecessor. And I mean run out and but a copy RIGHT NOW!.

Truth in Advertising
The sophomore effort from the late eighties "Mullet King" (a title currently held by Scott Stap, who seized it from Billy Ray Cyrus), "Repeat Offender" more lives up to its promise: it repeatedly offends the sensibilities of anyone with taste in music.
