Customer Reviews
Debatable quality, I love it.
Well, I think it's agreed The Unnamed Feeling was the best track off of St. I'll put this out there right away: This is exactly the same thing as the Some Kind of Monster CD except each have a different title track (SKOM vs Unnamed Feeling). Anger, so I went for this album rather than SKOM.

The live tracks. Hilarious at times, especially Ride the Lightning. Leper Messiah is the best one, but The Four Horsemen, Hit the Lights, and Damage Inc are all strong too. James doesn't sound the greatest, but he does sound better than on St. Anger. I'll leave it at that before I get too repetitive with other reviews.

Awesome title track, comical vocals, and great Kill Em All live performances.

Oh Man, this is a riot!
Skip over the first track, it is nothing special and head for the live tracks. I purchased this release for the reason that I think most people did, the extra live tracks, which feature some classic Metallica songs, and because I wanted to hear the band with Rob as the bassist. Interestingly, these tracks were recorded at three different gigs in France, which all occured on the same day in what turned out to be the hottest day recorded in French history. The live tracks for the most part, are recorded pretty well for being live, but are a slop fest. Sometimes certain instruments overpower others, but hey its live what do you expect? James' voice has improved since St. Anger but is still pretty bad. Of course Lars is totally sloppy. Maybe they were tired and hot, which would explain a lot. One part of "Ride The Lightning" James forgets his own lyrics and utters "I forgot the F*** words" and suprisingly it doesn't sound bad because its all at the same pitch and what not as actual lyrics are suppose to be at. I didn't catch at first, my friend pointed it out to me and when I cought it for the first time I laughed so hard. Overall, a bunch of decent live recordings. Recommended to any true Metallica fan, just don't waste your time with the first track.

Great CD for the real fans
I admit i didn't like the St. This cd is great for all of you that still don't cry and whine about all the stuff they've done. Anger album at first but after a while it grows on you. The Unnamed Feeling is probably my favorite track on the album and having the live songs is a bonus. Not many times you can hear some of the old songs live damage inc. , and leper messiah live. I listen to all their material and appreciate change because if they didnt change half of you would be whining cause they sound the same.
