Misfits' best.
"Come Back". . the only song on Static Age that I skip once in a while. It's hard to judge which Danzig era Misfits album is best (I'm not including compilation albums), there's really no loser, but if I had to pick, it would be Static Age. Static Age is one of the greatest album openers in music, uh, history, it's then followed up by TV Casualty which is equally great, maybe more so. I'll skip to Return of the Fly which is ridiculous but genius, why more bands don't just sing about classic horror films I'll never know. . . oh wait, it's because they come off sounding like bad Misfits impersonators. Now let's go to We Are 138, my favorite song of all time, I've listened to it fifty thousand times and it's still as fresh and powerful as the first time I heard it. Now I'm gonna skip to Spinal Remains, definitely in my top 5 of Misfits songs. . . uh, so yeah, every song is great, even the odd closer In The Doorway. Man, now that I think about it maybe Walk Among Us is better. . . I don't know, buy them both and compare.


Glenn Danzig is the greatest!!!!!!!!!
I will just say this, Glenn Danzig has the best voice I have ever heard. I usually write long reviews, but I am not going to for this album. He is an amazing singer, and this album is perfect. It is however the 2nd best Misfits album of all time behind "Walk Among Us", which is even more perfect because every song on that album is perfect. This album has a few songs that I am just not into like "Return of the Fly", "Come Back", "Hollywood Babylon" and "Theme for a Jackal", but every other track is incredible. Buy this album and every other Misfits album. They are the COOLEST band of all time, and Glenn Danzig is the COOLEST singer and has the BEST voice of all time!!!!!!!!!! .


Priceless
This one is my favorite of the Misfit Albums, and I'm sure you'll enjoy it as well. A must have for any music enthusiast; the amount of genres these guys have influenced is impressive. .

Hybrid Moments is my fav. WOW, prob. song on the CD & every other song on the CD comes in close second.

Static Age
Static Age contains numerious classic songs from the band, the production on the album sounds the best out of all of them because Walk Among Us is too over done. Misfits-Static Age *****


Personaly I think that Static Age is far better then Walks Among Us, which for some reason is concidered to be the bands all time best album from the Danzig era when I think it is by far the worst. And the feel of the album is just better.

'Some Kinda Hate' 'Last Caress' 'Return Of The Fly' 'We Are 138' 'Teenagers From Mars' 'Hollywood Babylon' 'Attitude' 'Bullet' and 'She' are all here, and these songs are on their best of disc, Misfits.

Combining lyrics about horror-movies and comic books, the Misfits got it right. Some concider them hardcore punk, well not exactly. They are too mellow. But they sure have the spirit of The Ramones and that is reason enough to check out the band. If your the sort of person that doesn't like best of's or greatest hits then stay away from the Misfits disc and start with their albums. Static Age is the perfect place to start.
