Short, sweet and heavy" I owned this cassette in the mid-80s and will agree w/ other reviews that the cd quality is a glorified bootleg. Classic Misfits nasty hardcore w/ the "SCARY VIBE. However, these 12 songs kick butt and clock in around 30 mins. Henry Rollins shouts on the encore WE are 138. That is why only 3 stars. I still am amused by the punks who dress up and try to be scary. Reminds me of the malls in Atlanta back in the day.
Killed by the sound quality.
However, with the exception of being able to experience how ferocious they were live (this includes Glenn jawing to audience members between songs), the songs on the album are probably better enjoyed on their studio releases. I appreciate that the Misfits' production has always been lower-quality because it was DIY and that's part of their charm.
Recommended for established Misfits fans only; I would recommend new Misfits fans check out either Walk Among Us, Earth AD, or the first Collection album. .

What they don't tell you is that the guitars sound out of tune and the vocals sound like crap on most songs. Everyone admits that the sound quality is awful on this recording. If you don't own any Misfits, don't start here. Start with Static Age. . . a Great Album.
The Coolest Band On Earth!!!!!!!
This live cd is great, the sound quality is not very good, but that is not nearly enough to make this a less-than-amazing album. The Misfits are quite simply the coolest band on earth!!! The Misfits live were what shows should be about, fast, fun, and absolutely full of energy. I wish it could've had some more tracks on it, but they put some of the best Misfits material on here. As well as, some less-known songs like Ghouls Night Out, and Horror Hotel. Highlights of the album are: Astro Zombies, Ghouls Night Out, Night of the Living Dead, All Hell Breaks Loose, We Are 138, and the best of all Horror Business. Overall this album is just incredibly fast and fun. This album is a MUST HAVE for any true Misfits fan. .
Misfits - Evilive
It's not the music of course, and not really the performance either, it's the recording, this is just an awful recording. I love the Misfits, but this live CD is really not very good. Now the performance itself isn't exactly top-notch, it's pretty sloppy, but this is punk music after all. But again, this may just go back to the sub par recording. All in all I enjoyed the CD, I just prefer their studio work more.
