John Michael Knocks it out of the Park!
This is a wonderful masterpiece of work. It has been a couple CDs ago that John has been able to make me both laugh and cry on the same Album. If you remember John from his earlier works you will surely love this CD. I can't quit listening to it. This is John's first work from his own New Label "Stringtown Records". I believe that is why this Album is so good. John was able to go back to the earlier "classic" John Michael to when he was able to call his own shots. Back then Nashville came to him begging to sign him to a deal so he was able to call the shots on what he recorded. Several injuries sidelined him and younger talent came along. . so you know how that goes? But now John Michael is back stronger and more eager than ever to put out music he knows his fans love! .

IS THIS REALLY JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY?
Collin Raye is suffering the same fate. What is happening to our once golden country stars? It's not just with this fellow. I listened to this album a few times, and I just can't believe it's the same person singing from the '90's. I wish these musicians would just realize that they are done, and let us listen to the songs that made them great.
It is surprising that John's voice has gone so flat being he is only 44 years old. I know he suffered from voice trouble in the mid 90's. I was scheduled to go to one of his concerts that got canceled due to chronic throat problems he was having.

If this was the mainstream music in the 90's, I would never have listened to country music. He sounds on the same level as Ronnie Milsap does now. Almost like he's sick and frail. The entertainment business must really take a toll on one's life. However, Alan Jackson and George Strait seem to push right through it. Maybe it's their families, and producers and managers that make the difference.

Bottom line, don't waste your time on this one. Dust off your old John Michael Montgomery albums. Listen to those and remember how great this guy once was!!!!!.

Time Flies (CD) by John Michael Montgomery
This cd has a little different style to it but the music is great. This is the first cd that John Michael Montgomery has put out for quite some time now. There are a lot of soft melodies on it so you can appreciate his beautiful voice. This cd is excellent!!.

Simply GREAT!
And is he EVER back. After a short absence to get his personal life together, JMM is back. I have liked JMM for a very long time, but I can say without a doubt that this new album of his is, in my opinion, his best work ever. "If you ever went away" is, of course, a blockbuster of a song. Fantastic. But the sleeper on the album is the haunting "Fly On", which features a truly wonderful arrangement, and some stunning vocals, that few artists besides JMM could have pulled off. I would HIGHLY recommend this album!

All the best.

YOU NEED TO SPEND TIME WITH JMM!
Every song is great and worth multiple listens. This is one of the best CD's that I have heard in 2008. Not a "skip" to be found on this album--it's actually that good. The lead off single, "Forever" is great and showcases John's vocal range and emotion. There is something here for everyone. The ladies will love "Forever" and "Let's Get Lost. " which is reminiscent of John's "I Love The Way You Love Me" and "I Swear" days of the 90's. For those looking for fun, laid back songs, look no further than "Mad Cowboy Disease", "What Did I Do" and "With My Shirt On". Let's hope country radio welcomes John Michael back and gives this album the spins it deserves. .
