One Of The Best Live Mountain CDs I've Heard So Far Mississippi Queen wasn't out on the radio yet. I remember first seeing Mountain open for Sly and the Family Stone at the Long Beach Arena. Me and my friends had never heard of them and they just blew us away. After that I saw them a couple of other times. Till now, I hadn't heard any live recordings that I considered really good examples of this band. Over the years I've turned a few young people on their Climbing album, and now I can't wait for them to hear this one. If you were around then and want an example of something that will really capture the magic that was Mountain, this is a really good one. I've always loved the tone Leslie West squeezed out that Les Paul Jr. . Get this and don't forget to crank it loud. You want to feel this one rattle through your bones. .
Power Trio Deluxe - Excellent Concert - HOT
For "Mountain Heads", this is the ONE. The sound is great and the show/concert was exceptional.
Classic and better than Twin Peaks too!
Just a classic set. . . and with killer sound too!
I like it better than Twin Peaks too!.
pappalardi & west
I have ever since buying avalanche 1975 and because of that also bought twin peaks held pappalardi as one of the peaks among rock bassists
and he delivers so do west.
Oh Yes
Great mix and recording. This is by far the best of the bootleg series and, although a shorther version, this live cut of Nantucket Sleighride is so close to the studio version that it is almost perfect. Was surprised by Yasgur's farm showing up but its a great version. They said the band was only 18 months old at this time and they sure were hot. Must have for live Mountain fans
