Customer Reviews Sweet, Romantic A repetitive hollow melody that will haunt me until the end. "Soon" is clearly not one of my favourites. Maybe that's the main reason why many people think "loveless" and its eps are so overrated. But both "glider" and "tremolo" are the best introduction to this band. And sure after listening to "loveless" and "isn't anything" you will return to them. The song "glider" stands besides the most powerful instrumental classics. Not worth $9.98. Not even close. Not only does it only have four songs and clocks in at under twenty minutes, one of those songs is a seven-minute track taken directly from the album LOVELESS. The EP GLIDER is highly overrated. So, if you already own LOVELESS, you'll only be getting about 13 minutes of new material from this EP. Unless you're a diehard fan of My Bloody Valentine, or a huge fan of the song "Soon," then you better stay far, far away from this EP (unless you find it for dirt cheap at a second-hand store; in that case, pick it up immediately). Buy ISN'T ANYTHING (see my review) or LOVELESS instead. They're both wonderful albums. . An amazing surprise It was from Sire, who was putting out great stuff at the time, and I thought the cover was cool. I think I bought this on sight back when it came out. I was totally blown away the instant I heard "Soon. " It was really something to try to wrap my brain around that wall of sound and the otherworldly warblings of Kevin and Bilinda. It's been a long time since I ripped that CD out of its old school cardboard case, but I remember hearing it for the first time like it was yesterday. Glider was truly groundbreaking. .
