DREAMLAND
Behind the white noise lies a whole world of hidden melodies, sleepy moans and mesmerising rhythms that with every listen evoke further dreamy horizons.
What at first comes across as an aural manifestation of the Texas Chain Saw Massacre soon reveals itself as a spellbinding mix of evocative song structures, melancholy vocals and droning but intelligently applied feedback guitar. The blurred vocals of guitarists Kevin Shields and Bilinda Butcher are indistinguishable in their incorporeal wistfulness: complex and gripping in the masterpiece of minor chords To Here Knows When, ethereal and Cocteau Twins-like in the misty Blown A Wish. Other desolate sound sculptures include Only Shallow, Loomer and Touched, while Soon completes the cycle with a blisteringly pounding beat, the Valentine's nod to rave culture. These tracks knock you out; their effect is immobilising.

NOT REMASTERED!!!!
I got so excited at the idea of a remastered Loveless; I had to preorder it. I wish I would have read the user review before purchasing this CD. Unfortunately, this CD sounds EXACTLY like the original. This is so disappointing and I am actually quite upset about the misleading and downright false album description. Stay away from this. If you don't have the album, buy the domestic copy.

BEWARE! THIS IS NOT A REMASTERED VERSION OF LOVELESS
Although I think MBV's Loveless is a perfect album in every way, I bought this version because it was specified as a REMASTERED version, which it is most definitely NOT. Buyers beware. I listened to my old copy of Loveless on CD and I listened to this newer supposedly remastered copy back to back. There is no difference except for the price tag. Unless you want to pay 30 bucks for a second copy of Loveless with no bonus tracks and one that isn't remasterd I'd suggest you stay away. The only difference here is that there is an extra booklet, but it is entirely in Korean and there is a slipcover for the CD jewelcase. As a huge My Bloody Valentine fan, I was completely disappointed that I wasted my money purchasing another copy of the record with nothing of extra value. I'd give an arm and a leg for a real remastered copy of Loveless. This isn't it. .
