THE BEST COMPILATION EVER MADE!!!EVER!!!This is a comp of all MDB's early EP's and thank FUKK they decided to put these out!!! BECAUSE I WOULD HAVE MISSED THIS ALL THROUGH OUT MY TEEN's!! And this is like my MEDICINE if you will. tis THERAPY!!! MUSICAL THERAPY!!
Every song on here is BREATH TAKING!!LEAVING ME NEAR DEATH!!! I have listened to this so many freaKin times. . that the cd is near DEAD!!
The only song that is a skipper is ''The Crown Of Sympathy Rexmix'' because its on TURN LOOSE. . no need for it!!! OTHERWISE PERFECT!!!
ONLY FOR ME. . MAYBE FOR YOU IF YOU CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT THIS IS ALL ABOUT!!
''DOWN SILENT AVENUES. . I LIVE ON!!!''.
beautiful is the pain.. heheh..
So far I have this and "Angel and the Dark River". . My Dying Bride is one of the best things that ever happened to me. I like Trinity better, though, because it encompasses more than "Angel. . . " does. There's more raw anger here, more distant grandeur, than the timid embraces and shy outbursts in "Angel. . . ". This is what you want if you want to rip into your soul to see what makes it cry.
First half is bad, but the second half rules.
Symphonaire Infernus Et Spera Empyrium 2. Here is the tracklist: 1. God Is Alone 3. De Sade Soliloquay 4. The Thrash Of Naked Limbs 5. Le Cerf Malade 6. Gather Me Up Forever 7. I Am The Bloody Earth 8. The Sexuality Of Bereavement 9. The Crown Of Sympathy (Remix)
Actually this recording is a compilation of their three earlier EP's, namely "Symphonaire. . . ", "The Thrash Of Naked Limbs" and "I Am The Bloody Earth". They thought that everyone should be able to hear their music, and the EP's were sold out, so Peaceville Records republished them. In my opinion, the first half of this CD is too hard, too confusing, and most important not creating the desired dark atmosphere. However From "Le Cerf Malade" on we hear a real masterpiece by England's no. 1 Doom-Gothic-Metal Band. My absolute favorite is the remix of "The Crown of Sympathy" (the original is on the album "Turn Loose The Swans"), besides the only one with their later instead of death-metal vocals. The remix is also better than the original, for the main difference is the new drum-sound, making this song express the sadness, hopelessness and depression even better. I can recommend this and all other My Dying Bride publication to anyone liking Doom-Metal or Gothic. I am looking forward for their new album "34. 788%. . . Complete".
