Wow! I don't know how to describe this. I heard about this album from a guy named Mike Smith, and I'm glad I did, beacause I was missing out on some great music (thanks Mike). Jazz rock? Jazz, Prog. . ah, who cares? It's amazing music. Neil is an awesome guitarist. I don't know about better than Satch, but he's really talented. Bobby Rock is one of the best drummers I've heard. Perhaps even better than the great Buddy Rich. He became one of my favorite drummers on the very first listen. I don't know much about bass, but I do know that Bill Dickens is possbly the best I've ever heard. His solo spot is so good it's ridiculous. I can't imagine what it'd be like to have actually been at this show. Such energy, such musical magic! I've definitely gotta buy some of Neil's solo albums, but it's just too bad these guys aren't playing with him. They need to do an album together.
Not much to say except if you like good musicianship, you'll love this.
