Staring at the Sun
Outstanding chops. Excellent CD for anyone who enjoys guitar instrumentals. This guy deserves more recognition for his playing ability and songwriting.

Awesome!
I bought this CD from him which hadn't even been publicly released yet. I met Neil in person when he performed in our little city. That was several years ago and I'm still listening to it today. While most people have never heard of Zaza before, hes far ahead of our times in musical capibilities, and should really be much more recognized as an artist. I give this an easy 5 stars.

Neil Zaza Ranks Among the Best Guitarists Alive
As soon as I heard "New, New Math", I was hooked. This is simply a fantasitc instrumental album. With every album he's released, he breaks new musical ground - adds something exciting and new to the clutter musical landscape. As a musician dedicated to his craft, developing his own identity and style, he's found it this album. Neil has put his heart and soul into every track.

In his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, Neil has achieved legendary status for good reason. If you're a fan of Joe Satriani, Yngwie Malmsteen, or Eric Johnson, Neil comes highly recommended - he ranks among the best.

In a way, I feel jealous of fans of instrumental guitarwork who haven't yet heard of Neil. . . all of these great albums waiting to be discovered! "Staring at the Sun" is a great place to start.

A must for melodic guitar fans.
I would also highly recommend seeing Neil live if you get the chance. I second everything the previous reviewer said. He is a very good showman.

Another 5 star album from the master of melody
Neil Zaza is one of the most melodic guitar players out there. I've said it before and i'll say it again. I truly think most of his albums are Must-Own's. This being one of them. IF you want glorious guitar melodies, you owe it to yourself to own at least one Zaza album. I would have to say the live album with Bill Dickens and Bobby Rock, titled "Snap, Crackle, Pop LIVE!" is the best one, but this one, Sing, and Thrills & Chills are all worthy discs. I reccomend this highly to anyone interested. Zaza has quite a unique style, though sometimes i would say he sounds closest to Eric Johnson. If you like guys like Satch, Vai, Johnson, or Andy Timmons this is just as good!.
