Customer Reviews
Chicago 60's rock
Their early hits, like "I Confess" and "Love You So Much",were slices of very tasty garage rock. The New Colony Six were the most successful Chicago band,at least in the local market,of the 60's. After the addition of Ronnie Rice, they added a more ballad based sound to their bag of tricks, but, the hits kept coming and this time some of them cracked the national charts. This collection compiles all of their biggest hits into a single CD. You can hear their progression from garage band to orchestral backed aural beauty. They could do it all and did it exceedingly well. This CD is very highly recommended to all who remember,or even like,60's garage rock and pop. .

Wonderful Group
d. I have always loved New Colony Six and feel they never got the larger audiences that they deserved!! Ronnie Rice is a very sweet and talented person!! He still performs and puts on an amazing show!! I absolutely LOVED this cassette because every one of the songs brought back memories!!!! It was definitely worth every penny!!!!!! I strongly recommend this cassette/c. for any New Colony Six/ Ronnie Rice fan!!!!!.

Great music from a great Chicago band
With an eerie-sounding organ playing in the background, the album starts out with a hypnotic tune that was a big hit locally, "I Confess," followed soon by a another hit track with a similar sound, "I Lie Awake. This music takes you right back to the Chicago of the 1960's. " Other well-known songs, that were also national hits, were the dreamy ballads "I Will Always Think About You" and "Things I'd Like to Say. " Like many listeners of that time, I too heard many of these songs for the first time on the Windy City radio station WLS. Whenever I hear these songs I always think of the sights and sounds of Chicago. .
