Still their most developed, mature release thus far.
I've been a very big fan of theirs growing up with their newest release always playing in my CD player. I've been listening to NFG for over a decade now. This review comes years after owning this album but listening to their new March 10th 2009 release urged me to rate this one.

This is by far their most developed and mature album to date. The song topics portray adult love, growing up into adult hood, and the loss of a loved one. All of the material on this release touched base with me on a very emotional level. I was great seeing these group of guys mature and yet still deliver to their mature audience.

Sure it does not sound like "old" NFG but I'm glad for that. After the failure that Catalyst was, this was a gem to listen to.

Great
Listen to it every and never gets old. I think this is one of their best albums yet.

Coming Home to Familiar Landscapes
Emphasis is placed on music and lyrics of it all, instead of solely on the music. Moving from the apparently monotonous punk/pop, New Found Glory decided it was best to move into the more mature varied pop/rock sound. Add in some incredibly catchy tunes and a relatively lite atmosphere, and you have a winner of an album.

The best part about this album is that it's a music chocolate box, where you never really know what you're going to get, like the rock ballad, "Boulders" or the pure power pop excellence of "Connected," which ranks as the highlight. The best is every song has something to give, and it's hard to find a bad one in the bunch. You have your normal radio-friendly tracks like, "Hold My Hand," and the acoustic, poppy "Too Good To Be" but it all comes off great. The album also never disappoints, moving from track to track.

Truly one of the highlights of the genre, and probably the band's best album (although "From the Screen To Your Stereo Vol. 1" ranks up there). It never fails to disappoint giving 50 minutes of varietal and enjoyable listening. A great soundtrack to summers everywhere, it may be more mature, but that just means they've gotten better since the last time around.

Good bands sound the same year in and year out...great bands evolve!!!
I just had the opportunity to listen to this. I have been a huge NFG fan from day one!! Catalyst was fun but I decided not to buy this album because I was disappointed before. . and I loved it!! NFG has evolved and that to me shows true talent! Your right children. . . this CD is different from years back. . . but NFG's versatility and amazing vocals of Jordan Pundik is the reason I still love NFG and will continue to love them! .

New Found Glory is god.
I've seen them 3 times in concert and they are freaking amazing. Let me start off by saying New Found Glory is probobly the most consistently great band of all time, in my humble opinion. The new album from the Florida born punk quintet earns them a lot of respect in my book. They could easily have made music that sounds like another Catalyst album or Sticks and Stones type of punk, (which would probobly bring them a lot of success) But they chose to branch out in a new direction a little bit with a softer, more romantic based album. The end result is a new and very good sound. I prefer some of their older stuff better, Sticks and Stones is pure gold, if you don't own that album you are seriously missing out. I strongly reccomend the new album to New Found Glory fans or really to anyone with a taste for good music. New Found Glory literally paved the way for many other great bands so by now they know what their doing. One of the better albums of 2006. .
