Timeless. What an album. 1987. Covering the first 12 singles they released. I first heard this back in 1988, and thought it sounded "quite good" of course, a few years passed, and being no longer a 15 year old with no money, I bought it. And Wow.
Whether you are going out for an evening, coming home from an evening out, or just chilling out in the afternoon. Just play it.
The riffs of ALL the songs are quite simply fantastic, they embody everything that is right about music. The terrific Blue Monday has been around for decades, and is still a club anthem. Bizarre Love Triangle, a masterpiece that cant fail to lift you up. Ceremony; Temptation; State of the Nation all awesome sounds.
To surmise, if you dont have it, get it. Just listen once. You wont be disappointed. New Order are one of the most influential bands of the 80s, and its a testament to their greatness that this remains one of the must have albums of any era.
And for all you younger generation, yes, this album is nearly 20 years old, its worth it. Buy it. You will know at least half the songs on here.
All the early classics
It has the original version of Blue Monday and also True Faith . Buy this now and you will not be disappointed . Essential.
