Brilliant!
I just heard this album for the first time the other day. OK, I'm not a Newsboys fanboy, but I know great music when I hear it. It's one of the most brilliant works of praise music I've ever heard. I like it better than Adoration. If "He Reigns" was on it, it would be six stars. I can't stop listening to it. It's been a long, long time since I found an album so complete with great songs from start to finish. Way to go Newsboys!.


Awesome!!
For me totally helpful to my spiritual life. This Cd is altogether awesome. I cannot say it betrter than the prior review by "phillyboi" on Dec. 13, 2004. What he had to say about it still sums it up.


A Worse Newsboys Album
"Presence" is just as bad as "Amazing Love" and song like "Blessed Be Your Name" are downright pathetic covers, and some of the worst in the industry. Why not follow a bad effort with a worse one? Why not abandon all early fans? Why not make an album that's just made for the pathetic radio crowd? That's what they did.

Overall, boycott this sad effort from the Newsboys. It's a truly bad album with no substance.

Good Collection of Praise And Worship Songs
Although I don't think it is as good as their first album of this type, 'Adoration', it is still quite good. 'Devotion' is a solid collection of praise and worship songs.

There are some very good songs on this CD. Among those are the following: Presence (My Heart's Desire), God of Nations, and Landslide of Love. They do a version of 'Blessed Be Your Name' that is ok. They do it much better live and Tree63 does a fantastic version of it.

Although this is not their strongest album, it is still a quality CD that will be enjoyed by Newsboys fans as well as anyone looking for a good praise and worship CD. In spite of that, if you haven't heard 'Adoration' before, I would definitely recommend that one over this CD.


Words do not compare...
You can tell they are true believers and that they serve the one true God!!!

What sets this one apart from any of their past albums is that this one doesn't have a single bit of silly in it. I love the Newsboys music a lot. . . not that there's anything wrong with that. I'm personally very silly, but all ten songs totally touch the heart of every lover of Christ. This album is an entire worship set!!!

Simple words do not campare with the Spirit behind each and every one of the songs on this CD. . . buy it!!!.
