Lots and Lots of Fun--With a Purpose
I haven't listened to the CD straight through, so I'm really reviewing the DVD, which I loved. It's probably 4 1/2, but I'll round up. I can't comment on their missing bassist or the guitar skills of Paul Colman, since I'm more of a casual fan, but I really enjoyed watching them in concert. My only distraction (moving it down half a star) was the lip-synched portions, which, while it may have been a "necessity," takes away from the whole "Live" idea. . . . Highlights for me:
--gotta love "Shine" right up front--saves me from asking later;
--"Something Beautiful" is a frighteningly contagious song;
--awesome performance of "Blessed Be Your Name"--great job slowing it down and really bringing the crowd into it;
--I loved the "B Stage Medley" and Peter's historical account of the group
--the "Drum Solo" was unbelievable! Maybe everybody does this in concert, but I somehow doubt it. . . .
My kids loved this DVD, both the four-year-old twins and my eight-year-old daughter, who sangs the songs obsessively over the next week after our initial viewing. You have to appreciate their honest and forthright presentation of God's love, our bond in Christ, and the Gospel message. It was a great show for me, not having another to compare it with. It made me go out and get their R&R Hall of Fame concert!.


Newsboys Rock
I was really impressed with the sound quality of the DVD and the drum solo is fantastic (but you'll have to see it for yourself). The CD DVD is very good. Overall a great purchase and a great seller!!!!!.


WOW! What a Concert!!!
It is concrete evidence that there is hope for America's young people; some of them, anyway. After watching and listening to the CD & DVD, I have to say, This purchase was the best I've ever made at Amazon.


Amazing
I was able to watch the actual concert three separate times while the Newsboys were on tour, and this Cd/DVD combo enables me to relieve some of that original excitement of one of my favorite tours of all time. This is an unbelievable live concert. The sound quality on these tracks is flawless. I highly recommend this to anyone who is a fan of the Newsboys or just of good music, you will not be disappointed.


Newsboys Go tour CD & DVD
When we went to put in Disk 2 we realized it was a DVD. We bought this CD to relieve the concert we attended earlier last year. What a huge BONUS and have watched the DVD to relive our concert experience. It is exactly how we remember the concert except the Texas comments inserted instead of our home state. The DVD is a great way to share the NEWSBOYS music with friends & family who might not be familiar with them.
