They ripped off their name This group is one of several who have since ripped off the name. The name "Nine Days Wonder" was taken by an indie rock band based in Michigan/Ohio during the late '80's and early '90's. Zero points for originality, fellas.
.
Kinda cute
This album is rock oriented, with some strange vocal material "at first he was allowed to touch my bottom" (whatever the hell that is about) being a typical line on one track. Well, this is the unreconstructed original German Avant Garde coffee house rock that you associate with Kraftwork and Faust.
But besides the strangeness, there is some very solid playing and this is quite entertaining, if not ughhh. . . weird. . . .
But there again, thats the fun of it, and its all good stuff. Quite strong musical construction that perhaps inherits a bit from the early Zappa.
