Music with integrity
"

Buy this album. It's a pity that the direction of country music has moved away from recordings with depth and integrity and has produced inane, throw-away tunes like "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy. You'll hear real musicians play real music.

Oh, and the NGDB's original version of "The Broken Road" beats anything Rascal Flatt's will ever record.

Acoustic???? Well yeah, but........
And I truly love the Nitty Gritty Dirt band, for 5 years I lived their music, I collected everything I could get my hand on. I hate to review something by an artist(s) that I am biased for or against. So let me try to lower myself to critic status for this review.

I kind of think they were running out of ideas over at Liberty Records. "Acoustic?" To me it sounds like any recording the Dirt Band has ever made.

There are a few standout tracks. "Cupid's Got a Gun" with lead vocals by Jimmie Fadden is one that truly stands out. "Badlands" with Jeff Hanna's lead vocals is another standout.

But really, this comes across as any other Dirt Band album. Not that that would be a bad thing, it is just that most of their cd's after Circle II pretty much ran together.

Get this, you won't be disapointed, but you won't be floored either.

Get it if you can
It just baffles me that the producers don't have this on the market anymore. In my opinion, this is by far the best music Nitty Gritty has released. If you like the Dirt Band and come across a used copy, BUY IT. As the other reviewer wrote, Sarah in the Summer will appeal to all who know and love the Glenwood Springs/Aspen area. Man, if you like acoustic guitar and mandolin, you'll wear this cd out.
