Good intro for a good band.
As it turns out, they're pretty good! The music is the same type of post-hardcore West Coast punk that made NOFX so popular, but unlike NOFX, these guys aren't jokey (and there's NO ska, fyi). I wanted to see how NUFAN sounded (always heard OF them, never actually HEARD them), so I figured 26 of the bands "best songs" for 8 whole dollars is a pretty good price to pay to see if I like the band or not. They write some hooky songs and they clearly sound like they care about the music they're making.
Its not the most original sounding punk rock out there, but I like this disc a lot, and I always have respect for the bands that jam as many songs as they can onto their "best of" CD.
So if you like 90's punk but haven't heard NUFAN yet, I say give this a shot, you get lots of great music on one very low priced disc.
