Personally, my favorite NUGENT album Also Ted let's er rip on Paralyzed and State of Shock. For me, I really like this album, I think everything came together well for Ted, especially Charlie Hunh, who sings alot of songs, on rockers It Don't Matter, Bite Down Hard and Saddle Sore, and the ballad Alone. A late-70's gem from Nugent, pick it up if you can.
Why the Price
It ranks right up there with his 5 or 6 first albums (after Amboy Dukes and if you count Double Live Gonzo). Okay, this a great album. What am I missing on the price the sellers (non Amazon) want for this. I have a vinyl copy of it but not a CD. I would like a CD, but jut bought Ultimate Nugent which covers TN, FFA, excellently, and CSF, WW, and P decently. Lots of extra live/alternate songs, etc.
To make a long story short, why is this so expensive? Y no comprende. But to reiterate, I am not bitching, just confused. I saw him for about the 8th time on August 1, 2008 in Tulsa, and he autographed my program from the July 1, 1978 Texas Jam, and we had our picture taken. Nice guy, book sense and common sense, believes in his values, most of which I belive in.
Lots of extra stuff on here. Why is State of Stock so expensive?.
Terrible Ted Does It Again
The opener, "Paralyzed", is a great wah-wah heavy rocker, and many other hot ones are also here, including "It Doesn't Matter. With STATE OF SHOCK, Ted Nugent creates another masterpiece. " People who think Ted Nugent was washed up by this point do not, in my view, have full constitutional rights, because this CD burns just as hot as each of the first four and shows that Charlie Huhn was an exceptional stand-in for Derek St. Holmes. .
An underrated album by Uncle Ted!
The song "Alone" is not something you'd expect from Ted Nugent, yet it's probably in my top five favorite Nuge songs of all time. If you're a Nuge fan, this album is a must-have. The guitar solo in "Alone" is worth the price of the whole album. Another one of my favorites on the album is "Bite Down Hard. " It's a guitar-riff driven number that I play over and over. Ted Nugent is the master at straight-ahead, guitar-driven rock and roll.
Under-rated
It is very under rated and worth a listen. This album is a must have to the Nuge fan. Saddle Sore is one of Ted's usual macho tunes that is just about as good as gets.
