Oldfield adds another jewel to the crown.
As in all of his works, there are times when he seems to be able to perfectly transfer human emotions into musical form. I have been a devoted fan of his work since early on. Also, as always, there also may be a few moments that are not nearly as inspiring. This just goes with the territory of trying to make different types of musical ideas flow together into a larger work. Is he a musical genius? There has never been any doubt in my mind for 30 + years. Thanks Mike for making this life a little more enjoyable and interesting. S. Camp.


Breathtaking
I remembered Oldfield fondly from "Tubular Bells" back when I was in college, and bought it just to find out how he had developed. This is one of the smartest purchases I have made in the world of music. The man has grown into a giant, his genius is in full flower in this one. It's a symphony with an amazing clarity and charm. This is what music is supposed to be: gets into your very soul and enriches it.


Mike Oldfield: Music of the Spheres
I have most of his LP's and now CD's, and had read about how this CD was very cinematic in it's sound. I've liked Mike Oldfield's music since the first "Tubular Bells" when I was a early teen way back in the 1970's. I fully agree about that, much less "New Age" and much more "Film Soundtrack", that's NOT a bad thing! Not in this case. In all his music I've always liked the all or mostly music only CD's, for me not so much on the vocal CD's and tracks. Overall this CD is very good and I enjoy listening to it. Not one track is a total stand out yet, but very good.


Mike's finest work
Oldfield's mixing of voice, guitar and piano intertwined. Mike Oldfield has had a great music career, but his latest work "Music of the Spheres" is a departure from the more electronic syhthenthised sounds of the past to a more classical style piece with Mr. The music is actually one powerfull work from end to end completely circular. If you haven't heard this music you are missing the most romantic and powerfull works, that has been recently created.


He's music reaches mature and clam level
Maybe he has been to wish to create a classical album for a long time. Mike's autobiography tells us: he loves classical music. I love it very much. He's music reaches mature and clam level: both melody and mind. .
