Customer Reviews Mellow A more mellowed out tone focusing on vocals and political views. Not as good as their first album.
Alas, not their best effort (3.75 stars) 1. Fistful Of Nothing - 3. 5/5 - a good opener with some intriguing guitar work, and, yes, excellent lyrics. Still, it's not as good as the next two. 2. Revolution - 5/5 - for good reason, was the first `single' to be released. Everything works perfectly here; it ends up being second best behind. . . 3. I Wear My Skin - 5/5 - my personal favorite song on the album. I love the `punch back / punch back' part, and the guitar work is again flawless. 4. Way Back - 3/5 - a bit too slow of a start that doesn't quite measure up to Buy Now. . . Saved Later's "On Deaf Ears" or "A Spoonful Of Sugar". 5. We Bounce - 4/5 - was the second single released, though it just doesn't outdo, musically, its predecessors. Great lyrics. 6. You So Much As Move - 3/5 - a lot like "Way Back"; therefore it doesn't amount to much. 7. Price Of The Kings Ticket - 3. 5/5 - again, doesn't distinguish itself from the singles, but still good lyrics and music. 8. Into Our Own - 5/5 - just a great all-around song; the lyrics and music flow very nicely. Similar to "I Wear My Skin". 9. A Song About - 3/5 - it takes a while to figure out what this song's about (pun), and therefore it doesn't stand out. 10. The Hole Is A Hill - 2/5 - probably the weakest song on One Lie Fits All. It stays soft throughout, which is uncharacteristic of OMS. 11. Representing The Poor Man - 3. 5/5 - I've never really been a big fan of slow starters, and in that you have a semi-decent finale, musically, with unbelievable lyrics. I have always believed that One Minute Silence's lyrics were their strong point; the music just seemed to be an added bonus. On One Lie Fits All, you'll find excellent lyrics about politics, humanity, and civilization. But the music at hand just isn't as good as it was on Available In All Colors and Buy Now. . . Saved Later. The only great songs are "I Wear My Skin" and "Revolution", and even some of the b-sides on the I Wear My Skin singles were better than the ones here (i. e. "A-Z Revolution", "In The Boat"). If you love One Minute Silence you will undoubtedly enjoy this album and most of the songs But please don't expect it too outdo their previous albums.
Amazing is the best description
