Roy Orbison live at the Austin City Limits
Which is once again, we see Roy Orbison pefroming his hits and during the chours lines, since his backupds singers are weak in the show, you can't hear them as well, once again you hear him sing Only, the Lonely, Leah, Mean Woman Blues, In Dreams, but he also has a few songs that you might not have heard much before this show, like Lana, Working for the Man, and Hound Dog Man. Sometimes, do you have to wonder if it is worth getting a cd, or a tape/dvd of a show with a singer that had passed away, I mean most of the time, it is the same song, expect for in different track numbers or even spots of a cd or a live concert. Can you ever remember hearing this song on a netiher cd, dvd, vhs tape other then Roy Orbison live at Austin City Limits? And don't you have to wonder if Roy Orbison ever got tired of singing the same songs over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over again? But that is why they are called hits, when a singer recoreds a song, that people like and want to hear sung. Some songs that he musth ave done in the 70's and 80's, might not have been popluar to his fans then, Candy Man, Ooby Dooby, Dream Baby (How Long Must I Dream), It's Over. Crying, and Running Scared. But on this show, you hear a repise of both Crying and Running Scared. But also he peforms Blue Angel and That' Lovin' you Fellin' Again. But as long as the fans like the songs, then it works, but it is also nice to hear a new song for the first time ever. .

Roy Live at Austin City Limits
I live in Australia and paid less than $10 (inc. One of the best live performances available of Roy, next to Black and White Night live. international postage)for this CD, which turned up in a few days from USA and brand new in wrapper with a bonus CD. The sound quality is excellent, if you are a fan of the big O you won't be disapointed with Live at Austin City Limits! .

Quality Roy!!!!
The sound quality on this recording is first rate and the live versions of these classics are the next best thing to the orginal studio versions. Not many performers, sound good live, let alone redoing their own songs and make them sound good but Roy pulls it off quite well. You can tell Roy really enjoyed himself in this Austin City Limits concert and it shows and the warm crowd makes Roy feel at home as 2 songs are "encores. Most live recordings the crowd drowns out the performer when he sings but not this one. This might be the best live recording I have ever heard. Quality recording for a Quality Artist!!!!!!.
