The great southern poser compilation with a sound worse than hell.
This tribute to pantera sucks. Jeez. I've never heard of these bands that did the covers but that's probrably because they suck. All of these covers are horrible, espeacially the great southern trendkill and cowboys from hell. If you want real pantera, get the albums from the acuall band, pantera! Oh yeah, the album cover is a joke! It's a panther like person with all of thease piercings on it and it's purple! That's just gay. It looks like a kid drew it. This album is Complete bulls**t. Get the real pantera instead, not this poser album.

all of these covers suck major a**. Jeeez! this sucks. Especiall the covers from cowboys from hell and the great southern trendkill. If you want real pantera, get the albums from the acuall band, Pantera! All of these songs are a disgrace to Pantera, not a tribute! Also, the cover is a joke. It's a panther that looks like a dog on a leash. It lokks like a kid drew it! That's just gay! Well, that's The great southern poser compilation with a sound that's worse than hell for ya! Pure bullsh*t.


Panther an almost tribute to pantera
This compilation was pretty good overall. Well this kicked the southern death tribute in the teeth that album was horrible. The standouts in my mind were, STRENGTH covering Cemetary Gates, for an unsigned act they were awesome. The singer was incredible for a guy who is unknown. Hollow also kicked a great version of becoming. I think they sounded better than most of the signed acts, who sounded like they invested little or no money on the recordings. Pantera should take some of these bands out on tour with them, like strength. . . . . . buy it.


Essential fopr every Pantera fan.
My favorite track is ILL NINO and STEP KINGS and DISARRAY. The production on this CD is totally pro, and the artwork istotally killer, definitely one of the more difficult to find Pantera memoribilia, well worth it.


Great versions, a must for any Pantera fan...
This CD has a few really good versions of Pantera songs. . I especially thought ILL NINO and THE STEP KINGS did very original versons, PISSING RAZORS does Domination (possibly) even better than Pantera themselves, (i know I'll get a rash of flack for saying that, but check it out for yourself) and DISARRAY give Cowboys from Hell their own twist of southern Death-core. It's definately a nice change of pace to get a tribute CD like this that really does make a difference. This is a must-have if you like Pantera or any of the bands on it.
