Very Nice
Every song is one that will make you think, for example, John Daniel is about a preacher, With Raven Dove Dolly is singing about Jesus Return, These Old Bones talks about a woman is is Clarvoinent, who actually turns out to be Dollys mom. I believe this is my favorite Dolly cd. And Dolly does a wonderfull version of Stairway To Heaven. The concept is this. . we have a devil one one shoulder and an Ange on the other. . which one do we listen to. I Highly reccommend this to anyone, its refreshing and the messages are good.
"Halos and Horns is a Winner!"
Dolly debut the album on NBC's "Today Show" and once I heard a few of the tracks I knew she had another winner on her hands. Dolly Parton's "Halos and Horns" CD was released in July, 2002 and reached #4 on the Country Billboard Chart, making the CD Dolly's highest charting solo album since "Slow Dancing With The Moon" in 1993. Dolly produced the CD herself and the album would eventually be nominated for a Grammy for Country Album of the Year. More country sounding than her last 2 previous efforts "The Grass is Blue" and "Little Sparrow", "Halos and Horns" is now one of the best top 5 albums in Parton's catalogue. Featuring 14 tracks the standout is her rendition of "Stairway to Heaven", a song her husband Carl has always loved. The CD also features her beautiful "Hello God" a song she wrote in response to 911 and a song country radio actually played. "These Old Bones" is classic Dolly with Dolly sounding like her mother during parts of the song. It's written in the same way as her "Me and Little Andy". "I'm Gone" is a great party number and Dolly remakes 2 of her favorite songs that she's ever written; the gorgeous "Shattered Image" from her 1976 "All I Can Do" LP and "What A Heartache" from her "Rhinestone" and "Eagle When She Flies" albums. The photography was done by the very talented Annie Leibovitz who did the pictures for Dolly's "Rainbow" album. The CD also features song lyrics. A beautiful album by a beautiful entertainer.
Excellent
I received an email with the song Hello God along with the words. I have long been a fan of Dolly's and have several of her CD's. It really hit me as a very good song we of the USA need to listen and follow. After looking in several stores I found the CD on Amazon's web site and decided to buy it. When I received it there was another song called Raven Dove that is excellent and so true. As typical Dolly style These Old Bones is light and catchy. I would give a very high review of this CD.

Quality of sound horrible
Sounded like it was made on a 45rpm, 60 years ago. This was not a quality sounding selection. I did not keep it, I gave it away and they did not care for it either. I will not purchase another Dolly CD.
