some things shouldn't be
Most of the songs on cd 2 are excellent as are a couple on cd 1. This is quite a confusing album. With that being said, albums like Binaural would have been much better if some of the songs on Lost Dogs would have been used there. Furthermore many of the songs on Cd 1 and a couple on Cd2 should never have seen the light of day. This should have been a one disc collection but it seems someone wanted to extract some extra cash out of the fans--something which seems out of keeping with Pearl Jam. The album is worth a buy but do yourself a favor and pick up a used copy.

Collection of Great songs!
Since this album is B-sides and Rarities you might be hesitant to purchase but. . this album is great. Many of the songs could have been and should have been singles. Knowing that Pearl Jam wants to keep a low profile I understand why they were not. This is a album to buy for the maybe fan or those that only know Pearl Jam through Alive or Jeremy (and of course fans). It is a sampling of songs that make Pearl Jam unique and special. Favorites on the album are Sad, Down, the great Hard to Imagine, Fatal, Footsteps and finally concert encore closer Yellow Kedbetter. Buy this album.

Nothing worth finding here.
B-sides already released and other songs that just suck. The title is fitting becasue thats what you get. This is also an expencive package for such aweful crap.

Great music

i love this album and it is a good price hope this helps. i have now finished my pearl jam collection with this album and it great music just like all pearl jam music .

Besides a few B-sides I can put the rest a-side
Tracks that any fan already probably heard from singles (Alone, Yellow Ledbetter) remain some of their strongest rock, capturing the underutilized McCready at his fiery best before the post-Vs, Vedder-induced subduing kicked in. A loyal and sweetly put together rarities double disc from Pearl Jam is an undeniable must in any fans collection simply for the handful of amazing tracks which sometimes even go further then their best (ten-era) material ever has. For fans Lost Dogs undoubtedly scores big, and even first time listeners will enjoy a minority of The Jam in it's essence, but the majority remains fans-only turf. As a single disc the material definitely would have avoided the typical B-sides stench which plagues many artists, but as a double even Pearl Jam's impressive vaults yield some unspectacular riffs and slightly silly outings. The first disc has a higher ratio of these genre-stinkers, but as Ledbetter fades out and the superior disc two kicks in we are once again reminded of why there are many treats amongst the tricks.
