The Best Version of DSOTM Period
so i eventually bought this version because of that fact. i originally owned this album on cassette tape years ago when i was a teen, then when the digitally remastered cd came out i bought it, but then my uncle bought the MFSL (Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs) gold cd version and when i listened to it i was amazingly astounded by how much better and more dynamic it sounded compared to my remastered copy. if you can get a MFSL version of any album you're looking for don't look any further because MFSL's digital encoding processes are bar none to any other audio cd manufacturer out there, and that's no bullsh**.


An amazing CD
I am glad that I made the purchase because I enjoy the quality that this provides. Have been a Pink Floyd fan for a while now, and well, just decided to see if the quality was any different.


A Perfect Album for a Space Cadet like Yours Truly!
But I was electrified as to the music and total sound quality! -- especially the first three tracks -- sounds kind of like a spaceship! My favorite track here was "Money" (track 6, of 10) -- and I thought, why not get it in gold! -- if you can. I have always been a "space cadet", and I was a little worried when the first track was silent for the first few seconds -- as I have never heard this album before. Well, I did. And now, I like 'em all! For best results, listen to the entire CD from beginning to end. It all sounds GR-R-REAT!!! Worth every penny! o:-) !!!.


The Dark Side of the Moon - MFSL Gold Version
The MFSL Gold CD version of this CD is EXCELLENT. This recording speaks for itself in terms of production quality; this is a long-standing reference recording. I have been a part of the ultra high-end audio industry for over 30 years and only listen to reference quality systems; this transfer is incredibly well done. There are no gain (volume issues) or any lack of resolution in any area. I don't think the performance advantages over the standard and SACD versions are subtle. This is well worth the investment, and becoming rare. Buy it while its available ~.


Buy This Over The Japanese Version With OBI Strip
00. I recently purchased the Japanese version with the obi strip $200. Please save your money and buy this Mo-Fi version. I have both now. The Japanese (so called collectors issue) is slightly and I mean slightly better. The only way to tell the difference is if you have a high end system as I do. So again please save your $$$$$$$$ and buy the Mo-Fi cd which I rate as a 3 and the Japanese version as a 3. 1 for sound quality. .
