whole lotta shaking going on!
I originally had this on cassette in the 80's and was one of my favorite Elvis tapes, but kinda short in length, not no more!
Extra tracks make this a 10 star rating~!
I think Elvis was at his prime in 1970, some may say 1973, but either way, he was peaking and enjoying himself! I love the song list on this CD, I enjoy the song introductions by the King, produced great and sounds great! a must own!.

Remixed Elvis
p. The original l. mix was perhaps a little light in the rhythm section but pushing the Sweet Inspirations that far back hurts the music. . . and our nostalgia.
The band is pushed forward and so is Elvis - good choice, because he is in excellent voice throughout, and overflowing with exhiliration and Soul.
Even when he pays tribute to concert attendee Antoine "Fats" Domino by singing a few ines of "Blueberry Hill", he's making great music. I'm surprised RCA/BMG didn't list this bit on the jacket. It sounds to this reviewer that he came right in on the same key and pitch he did in 1957! A Classic Elvis moment.
My taste doesn't easily extend to non-Elvis Top 40 stuff like "Sweet Caroline" and "Runaway", but again, his singing is so impressive that cringe left my visage very quickly.
Another '50s reflection is the track just prior to the powerful finale ("Let It Be Me") - "Long Tall Sally", another oldie done with much of the feel of that golden era. Far better than later live cuts by E. P.
Here was Elvis in high spirits, ridin' along in style on his Comeback Trail. Get it while you can. By '72, '73, some of that fire was doused. .

Remixed
Right after Elvis says "Some of you all never been down south too much. I just picked this up today brought it home & to my keen since of hearing, they had remixed this album from the way it originally sounded, and all it took was for me to jump to "Polk Salad Annie" to know what I'm saying. . Some of you all never been down south too much" and starts to laugh a little bit, right when he starts to laugh you could hear a woman scream in the original, which is now missing in this re-release. Now I know to some people, this is not an actual grip, but for me it is. When people start tampering with an original it's a big deal, especially when it's Elvis's music. Now there's dialogue in this that wasn't in the original, crowd response & such. It's like they took stuff out & replaced it with other stuff. If you like the original, this is not it, if you're one that don't mind remixes then you won't be disappointed.

Great!
This CD is great, good for relaxation and just sitting around with your coffee and slippers.

Elvis at his best
And it didn't get better than these live vegas shows from the early 70s. There is nothing like hearing elvis perform live. He sang with amazing power and passion. Can't Stop Loving You,Sweet Caroline,Release Me are but a few examples of Elvis grabbing a song from his gutt and making it his. The standards Suspicious Minds and Polk Salad Annie allow him to put it all out there for all to hear why he is forever the single greatest singer of anyones lifetime. Runaway,Kentucky Rain are rare gems not apart of the original album. But for me the version of See See Ryder is probably his best. Turn it up and enjoy.
