How Great Thou Art - Elvis' Gospel Music
I highly recommend it to anybody who enjoys good, solid Southern gospel music!. Now owning virtually everything Elvis recorded in the gospel music field, I find this album the most enjoyable and containing the best selection of Elvis' gospel music.


How Wonderful
I bought the "Record Album" when I was around 12 years old. I can not believe I have found this CD. I kept it in great condition for years, I am 53 now, unfortunately when I was remodeling my home a few years ago someone actually stole it and I did not realize it until I moved a few years later. So if anyone reads this that has my Album, shame on you. Anyway, this is a wonderful CD and I am so glad to have found it. .


How Great Thou Art
It's great! It's an answer to the reviewer who states that the final track on the original album was "Peace In The Valley. This really isn't a review of the album. " That's right AND wrong. The final track on the original VINYL album was "Crying In The Chapel. " The final track on the original CD issue of said album was "Peace In The Valley. "

If you're looking for "Peace In The Valley" you'll find it as a bonus track on the recently reissued, remastered version of Elvis' first full gospel album relased in 1960 "His Hand In Mine. ".


Wonderful
This CD is wondrful. Elvis sings his gospel music far better than he does any other kind.


Classic Album in best-ever Remastered sound: How Great It is!


This is a classic (and under-heralded) Elvis album that deservedly is back in stores in better than ever sound, despite the minor cover art imperfections as noted by the other reviewer. I agree with the two other reviewers but to the fan from Virginia, it should be noted that this "How Great Thou Art" release is in the best-ever sound and in the original context, as opposed to those great but overwhelming collections. There may be an extended "FTD" release of this album soon by Sony for its die-hard collector label for who like all the outtakes (etc. ) but until then, this is a total gem, and at budget prices, well-worth picking up with all the two-other remastered gospel albums by Elvis.
