Prince is Different but ALWAYS Awesome! Some cannot get it, which is understandable. Prince music has always been in a category by itself. I get it and I like it. I received the album in the mail today and listened to it for the first time and enjoyed it. As I type this review I am replaying it.
Among my favorites are Te Amo Carazon, Black Sweat, Incense and Candles, Love, Satisfied (which I heard him sing live on a show and is why I purchased the album), Fury, The Word, Beautiful Loved & Blessed, The Dance, and Get on the Boat. I think I've named the entire album basically.
His album takes you on a journey. You have to listen to the album to understand and appreciate it. His lyrics are deep, meaningful and contain alot of power. His lyrics are very inspirational in Beautiful Loved and Blessed. He ended the album with Get on the Boat, which is very fitting. This is an album worth going on a journey with and for. I enjoyed the journey and I will go again soon.

Prince- Rave un2 The Year 2000.
A First For The Iconic Artist
Distributed through Universal Records, the 12 tracks clock in at 53:42, but there was drama surrounding the album; the title may be referring to a dispute between Prince and the landlord of his rented mansion in Los Angeles, NBA player Carlos Boozer, as the tenant would incorrectly identify the location by that "address. In the iconic entertainment career of Prince, this album produced a first for him; never before had a release debuted at #1, which is where this March 2006 quickly found itself on the Billboard 200 chart. "
Two singles were released before the album - Te Amo Corazon, December, 13, 2005; Black Sweat, February 2 - but the standout cut is Fury, a Jimi Hendrix-inspired throwback to the psychedelic rock scene of the 1960s, which was released as a single in the UK.
The sound leans heavily into the style of R&B/funk/rock that Prince revolutionized some 20 years back, but the material is fresh and dynamic. The artist is letting the music do all the talking. .
Prince: another fine record from the bad-boy-pop-prodigy.
3121 finds the bad-boy pop-prodigy in regular form, although the edgy, sexualized words have subsided some since his more recent conversion to Jehovah's Witness. Since his 1978 debut, Prince has been known for his eccentric and synthetic music production, layered R&B grooves, taboo lyrics, and his irresistible and instantly recognizable falsetto (see "Kiss"). Don't let this frighten you; the absence of such content is hardly noticeable because the alternate lyrical quality, and of course, the music, are so damn good. . . What can i say
He is a great entertainer. I have always loved Prince. I have been to a few of his concerts and he has to be one of the most talented artists ever but this album just didn't do it for me. That is thing about him though it's his music I just wasn't into this album.
