Role Model.
The highlights being "Born Innocent", "Should Have Been Loved", "Blood On Your Hands", "He's Just Like Me", "Role Model" and "Dear Deidre". The Proclaimers fifth cd "Born Innocent" continues to showcase their strong brand of Scottish folk and roll music. The brothers are at their best on those songs because they make a great mix of folk and uptempo rock music with sometimes insightful and humorous lyrical observations on relationships, politics and religion. The rest of the disc is serviceable, but "Born Innocent" does not surpass previous successes like 1988's "Sunshine On Leith" and 2001's "Persevere". Proclaimers fans should enjoy this one.
