Their best album

"Teenage Bonehead" is the greatest punk song ever!. Can't go wrong with this one.

may as well be a greatest hits CD
This is just one album (albeit probably the best) from a diehard act that's still going strong after gobs of albums (and infinite band replacements to back up Joe Queer). Other bands would kill for having a greatest hits collection this good. Go to a Queers show and you'll hear just about every one of these songs, including the classic "Granola Head. "

So just what are the Queers? Think of the Ramones: take a singer with a somewhat nasal voice, songs with simple but powerful hook-based choruses that you can't forget ("f the world I'm hanging out with you tonight!"), and fast 3-chord guitar downstrums.

Buy this and Don't Back Down for the best introduction to the Queers. Give 'em each 3 listens and you'll either still hate 'em or you'll be hooked. I'm hooked, and have picked up everything else since then.

another classic for you
This and Don't back down. Yes, here we go! This is the other Queers album that you need. You can forget all the others. Some are okay, some suck really bad, but here you cannot go wrong! Fast punkrock, mid-tempo pop smashers and slow love songs. You get it all!
So, buy it!.

Remains Unread
I bought it as a fluke because I seen "The Queers". This album is one of the most classic CDs I've ever owned. Hahahahaha. . . They probably suck. I was dead wrong. This album is so catchy and infectious that you HAVE to sing along. The lyrics are hilarious, kind of sad, kind of happy at the same time. I bought a couple more Queers CDs and none compare or even come close to this one. In fact, not many albums I own come close to this one. This is one of the best CDs I've ever owned and I own quite a few. The sound is a mix between old pop punk like the Screeching Weasels and kind of a 50's or 60's band with the "bow's, woooeeeee's, and ahhhh's". .

The Original QUeers Sound
Geez, if I could grab you by the ears and shake your head and yell at you "ThIS IS IT!!! GET THIS ONE!!!" I would! SO GET IT!! Stop wasting your time reading and start listening! NOW!. This is it!! This is the one you want! If you can only get one Queers album, or only want one,,,,,it should be Love Songs For the Retarded!!! This album has a whole lot more songs (and better songs, too!!) than those EPs they've taken to releasing lately, it really is the purest sounding QUeers album--with a better, cleaner sound that "Grow Up" and less of the surfy-ishness that infectedtheir sound after "Don't Back Down" (or whatever it's called, the one with the blue background, and them in leather jackets on the cover--a little help here/???) and "Surf Queen".
