ramones still rocked the 80s!!!
and the rhino cd is just great. as a long time fan of the ramones [the band who invented punk]i love this album . it has a great sound and lots and lots of extra bonus songs. . . . . ilove this cd too tough. . . they had a new drummer and it shows . . . . i still think marky great though!!!but i think each of the 3 drummers they had added his own signature sound without losing that ramones song structer. dee dee wrote nine of the songs on the 1984 release. get this cd you will love it !!!!.


Best 80's Ramones
The first 3 are classic albums from ICONS . Ramones were always my favorite punk band growing up. . . songs are fast, ugly and timeless. . still stand up. They had a few soft albums in the 80's , but "TOO TOUGH TO DIE" is old school. Main attraction in a freak side show!! Joey Ramone shouts out loud and still angry. Guitar riffs and prodctuion are great and DEE DEE sings some serious Punk Rock anthems. Had this one vinyl and love he reissue w/ killer BONUS tracks to enjoy.


Ramones - Too Tough To Die
I got the cd just a few days after I ordered it! It rocks, gotta hear it again today!. This was everything I expected and more! Bonus songs included on this expanded edition.


Ramones Renaissance
The first five tracks [three of which were live show standards] are as good as anything they've ever done. The Ramones best post-70s effort. The next four tracks are a notch below, but still strong. If the disk stopped there, I'd rate it five stars. However, the last four tracks are a let down and detract from the whole. Track 12, Endless Vacation, shows up on many of the Ramones compilations, but I can't listen to it. The bonus material is pretty generous, consisting of 12 cuts. Four are songs not appearing on the original disk - justifiably so; nuff said. The other 8 are demos and alternate versions of songs on the original disk and are a valuable addition. The demo of Howling at the Moon is exceptionally good - IMO much better than the original. The other demos and alternate takes are sufficiently different than the originals to be genuinely interesting. The bonus materials more than make up for the less than stellar last 4 tracks of the original and restore a 5 star rating. Too tough Too Die is a pretty strong album overall [a notch below the Ramones first 4 albums] on its own; with the bonus material it is a must have. .


My favorite Ramones album
An awesome Ramones album!!!. When I was a Freshman in high school and you happened to buy my history book used, you would have had all of the lyrics to all of the songs off of "Too Tough To Die" as I wrote them all over that book.
