~still feels like ther best album~
I've followed Rascal Flatts from the very beginning, and I have all their releases. . but Feels like Today is still my favorite Rascal Flatts album. It's just amazing from start to finish - this CD is one of only a few I have ever bought that I can simply put in and listen to every song without ever having to skip any of them! Simply an incredible CD that is not over-produced. . . many of the tracks are just pure and rather acoustic.
"Bless The Broken Road" is probably the highlight - a tune that won song of the year at the 2005 CMA awards. "Skin" (originally a hidden track) is also a gem - a tearjerker that will give you chills when you hear it. "Feels like Today" is a feel good song, and "Fast Cars and Freedom" is a huge summer hit that will live on forever. Besides for the 4 hits, there are so many other great songs such as: "Then I Did", "Holes", "Where You Are", "Here's To You", & "When the Sand Runs Out". . . which are all soothing and uplifting at the same time. Best album ever by Rascal Flatts, and one of my favorite albums of all time. . . just such a great feel to all the songs on it!!!!! Overall ~10/10~
.
Excellent example of new genre
While certainly not "country" in the Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard sense, a very good example of country's heart felt story telling intertwined with easy listening music.
Bless 2 men
He loves me. This song Bless The Broken Road :I dedicate to my husband Larry for everything he has ever done for me, he showed me a new road to go down 20 years ago and has taught me alot about the world and being a dad to my daughter and a wonderful husband to me, despite who I was as a person 20 years ago. I thank the good lord for him everyday and what he does for me each and everyday and expects nothing in return. God Bless the Broken Road who led me straight to you. I love you with all my heart , no matter where I live. Dedicated to a dear friend who I will always love. He showed me a direction on another road that led my life a better way for myself. Thank you so much to both of you.
To Rascal Flatts for singing this song, it was really meant for me. love , Mrs. H

New Country
I know lots of people do like new country, and I am in the minority by giving this CD one star. I will be the first to admit - I don't like new country.
My son bought this CD, and even though he likes it, to me, it is just noise. But to me, all new country is noise. And it depresses me - both the music and the words. I love old country. To me, old country has much better quality of music, and the words are not so depressing.
