I'm all about Desmond Child. I just buy anything Desmond Child works on. I don't know much about The Rasmus. He is a famous song writer and a producer. He helped Bon Jovi, Kiss, Joan Jett, Ricky Martin and other stars compose some of their greatest songs. On "Black Roses", he worked on every single one of them and it shows. His signature sound is everywhere. If you know Desmond Child and if you love his work, then this album is for you. In my opinion, "Your Forgiveness" is the one to put on a Desmond Child compilation CD. .
This is awesome!
I love it!
The Rasmus comes to Macedonia in Skopje on 11 February and I have my ticket. One of the greatest albums from The Rasmus, after Dead Letters. I can't wait until than. BTW I've ordered this awesome disk!.
Fantastic CD
I disagree with a previous reviewer who said that this is not the Rasmus album to start with. I discovered Rasmus totally by accident a couple weeks ago and ended up with this album. This is one great listen. One or two less exciting songs but then again few albums are perfect. This one comes darn close. Every listen seems to bring out another layer and I haven't had to skip a song once.
As an old timer (50 something) who's been rockin since the late 50's, I'm really happy that there seems to be bands out there that still rock and haven't gone over the edge as so many bands do these days. A lot of my favorite rock these days seems to be coming from Scandinavian or Eupopean bands. I'm looking forward to getting Rasmus' eariler releases.
Awesome!
I love it!. Well, what can I say: The Rasmus rocks!
This CD is very good, and along with it is an awesome interview with The Rasmus.
Good album
Lauri's vocals, the band's signature undertones, and excellent lyrics are still part of Rasmus' style, but this album's new edge lends it a bit of mystique. I was surprised to hear how much Rasmus has evolved, but I think it works in their favor. 'Black Roses' is a must-have, especially for those of us who appreciate Finnish rock bands. .
