Capital Letter The song has an ominous tone with its buzzing guitars and echoes vocals. "E-Bow The Letter" finds one of Michael Stipe's idols and inspirations, Patti Smith, supplying backing vocals. A great song. "Tricycle" is an interesting instrumental and "Wall Of Death" is a Richard Thompson cover that seems well suited for the band. "Departure" appears in a different version from the album release.
very good
The highlights of this single: tricycle, a neat little instrumental (a must-have), and especially, wall of death! I love that song.
charming
This wouldn't be disturbing if there wasn't another artist named Patty Smyth. E-bow is one of my favourite rem songs, but inside the single, Patti Smith's name is written with an "y". Anyhow, Tricycle is very sweet and I really like this number. Departure is taped on a soundcheck in Rome and the version on New Adventures sounds much better. And last is the cover of Richard Thompson's Wall of death that is a real nice ditty.
