Listen to "Face in the Crowd"!!!
While his own songwriting skills have slipped recently, his skill as an artist/musician clearly has not, as demonstrated on this album. Credit to Lionel to be willing to turn to other songwriters on this album (all but one song are written by someone other than Lionel). Not a bad track in the bunch; all great mid and uptempo tracks with Lionel sounding as good as ever. But, standing head and shoulders above the other tracks and worthy of heavy radio play is "Face in the Crowd. " The best Lionel song in probably 15 years, and one of the best songs of the year.


Revived Lionel Richie
He has used younger musicians to create music that is modern, but still has his signature beat. I'm amazed about how Lionel Richie has reinvented himself. I believe his music will cross many generations for years to come. I enjoy listening to the music on my truck's stereo system. My truck's interior just bursts with the sound as I drive to and fro. .


Lionel Richie still got it!
The music is hip and radio friendly, so old fans and new should enjoy it. I'll keep it simple - Lionel Richie still got it. The best songs are: "Good Morning", "I'm Not Okay", and "Face In The Crowd"; The worst songs are: "Somewhere in London", "Forever and a Day", and "Pastime". Listen to the music samples and judge for yourself. The album features Akon and Taj Jackson (Nephew of Michael Jackson).


Love old Lionel Richie, Love new Lionel Richie !!!
I love the songs "I'm in Love" and "Think of You" They have the old Lionel Richie sound with a new sound mixed in. I am a huge Lionel Richie fan !!! He has some of the best love songs of ALL times !!! I bought this cd not sure what to expect. . Some of the songs on this cd sound like techno. . Which is the type of music my son loves who is 20. . I think though too many other sounds mixed in with Lionel's voice takes away from his GREAT voice. . Which is something nice in itself to listen to. . I would recommend this cd. . . I just love it !! .


Another Hit
Wether he's with the Commodores or on his own, he's always on the mark. As usual Lionel Richie delivers the goods. Great vocals, great sounds, a must for all Lionel Richie collectors. His songs touch your soul always. Don't forget to buy his "Definitive Collection" too and you'll have all the BEST of Lionel Richie.
