HAWAII'S CALLING MEI ORDERED 1 CD, BUT YOU SENT ME TWO; MAYBE BECAUSE I LIKE THIS CD VERY MUCH, THAT I DIDN'T COMPLAIN AND PAID THE EXTRA ONE, ANYWAY.
Very good music from Marty Robbins
Marty Robbins was normally a country & western singer, but I think he sung the hawaian style very good. I got a LP "Hawaii's calling Me" from my uncle as as a 14 year old boy, and even I was only 14 year, I loved this music. Somebody stole my LP, and I have been looking around for many years trying to find a LP or a CD with this music. Finally I found it, and on the CD is all the songs from the two hawaian music LP's Marty Robbins recorded.
Marty Robbins is excellent!
I have always loved Marty Robbins' country music but he outdoes himself with this Hawaiian music! .
Makes You Feel Like You Are There !!!
He goes from country to Hawaiian with ease on such beautiful songs such as "Drowsy Waters", "Isle of Golden Dreams" and "Lovely Hula Hands". This is one of the best albums Marty Robbins ever recorded.
This is a combination of two albums by Marty recorded in the 50's and 60's.
Backed by the great Jerry Byrd on steel guitar for the second album ,Marty hits all the high notes imaginable and it makes you feel like you are right there on the beach on some exotic Pacific Island.
This is a must buy for all Marty Robbins fans.
Bear Family Records Never Let's You Down
I am glad that the 1954 version of "Isle of Golden Dreams" was included since it is much better than the 1957 recording. This CD has the Marty Robbins Hawaiian recordings from 1954 through 1963. Bear Family can take great pride in providing the U. S. with excellent products!.
