The Smoke is Gone!
However,I must admit all of the smoke has disappeared. I keep buying Smokey Robinson cds hoping the magic of yesterday will return. In the past, he never would have used the words of another writer. In this case he included "Don't Know Why"
by Jeffrey Freeman and it is the singular well-written piece. Although the voice is still there, his pen is out of ink. I think the other reviewers, like people who have dropped LSD, are having flashbacks. He hasn't written a decent song since "Daylight or Darkness. ".

So romantic...
. This would make a wonderful Valentine's or Bridal Gift because it's all that and a cup tea.

SMOKEY HAS STILL GOT IT!
"Time Flies" would have been purchased just because the artist is known for his "Aims to please" in every one of his creations not one has been a disappointment. What can you say about Smokey's newest CD that can't be said or hasn't already been said about any of his musical efforts. We go way back his music and I. I remember when he fist started with the Miracles. He did some fantastic music that came from his creative efforts and their musical contributions. After all these years even in his "Golden years" his voice sounds as good as it did if not better since it has become truly well seasoned over the years. Buy this CD you will not be disappointed.

I am enjoying this CD
The CD is mellow and pleasant easy listening - I really am enjoying this performance by Smokey.

Smokey Still Delivers!
Smokey still is in very Good Voice, some of the songs are the most sensuous Smokey has ever recorded ('That Place', 'Love Bath', 'Whatcha Gonna Do'). On this new cd from the Legendary Smokey Robinson shows that his not trying to compete by making a cd with a bunch of current songwriters and producers, with 'Time' Smokey sticks with the formula that works! make a very good cd with good musicians & produce the cd himself. Smokey takes 'Don't Know Why' and makes it his own, 'You're The One For Me' shows why Smokey is a genius songwriter, taking a song he wrote over 40yrs ago for The Marvelettes (You're The One For Me Bobby)and re-writing the lyrics for himself, the best cut is 'You're Just My Life' a beautiful duet, the bonus track 'I Want You Back' is very good too. .
