Very few can and Linda is one of those few. ------------------------------------------

Volume 1

Many artists assume that they can cross genre and sing as well as a person that specializes in that gender. She has tacked all kinds of singing head-on and is a natural.

This is a fine collection or sample of Linda's diversity. Many albums have one or two songs that do not match the mode of the others. You will not find them in this album. It also makes a great driving album. However you can lose track of time while singing along.

Actually if you were to play all of Linda Ronstadt's greatest hits, you would wear the player out. However if you are only going to buy one album, this should be the one. I do wish they could have squeezed "Blue Bayou" on this one. The only advice I can give to you is to beware; these tunes will stick your head.

I have the CD but also bought the audiocassette for the car.

Volume 2 - I bought it for Blue Bayou.

All of the songs on this album are superior. And they show Linda Ronstadt's diverse range. However if you are buying only one album, buy Volume One. Unfortunately Blue Bayou is only this volume and is a must have to complete early Ronstadt.

Ronstadt's big hits

A comparison of the new version with the old shows that the remastering job has put
a bit of fresh clarity on the tracks. It is nice to see both volumes of her greatest hits put on one disc. Yeah!.


Finally what i've been looking for!
S. The original Vol I and Vol II greatest hits Cd audio quality always sounded flat and lifeless and the subsequent collections released in the U. always seems to be missing some of the important songs on Gr hits I and II.

finally this IMPORT (re-mastered by RHINO- yah!) brings life to these wonderful songs, and they have consolidated the exact songs on I and II into a single disc.

Sound qualify is fantastic!!! .

She has such a powerful voice. Linda's greatest hits I & II is a wonderful collection of some of her best hits. Amazing vocals! She can take any song and make it her own. From ballads to pop she rocks!.


Linda Ronstadt's Greatest Hits - Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!
1 & 2, holds a lot of memories for those of us who became fans of Linda's back in the 70s. Linda Ronstadt's Greatest Hits, Vol. Those songs that made her a star in her early years are present on these CDs and her voice is just as clear and true as we remember. I purchased the CD to listen to while I am busy with housework but I also copied the songs to my Ipod so I can listen to them anytime. I am glad that I found this available on Amazon.
