Santana/Welcome

thanks. I am replacing all of my best music from the sixties and the seventies and you have helped my to do so.

Relaxing and beautifull music
I love Santana and when I heard this I was shaken with joy, great sounds and such soothing and beautiful songs, light up what ever you are smoking and lean back and listen you will be very happy.

70's Jazz
Keyboards, flutes, etc. This might be a big turn off for the classic rock Santana fans but it's a pure joy for those who like easy going smooth jazz. It's a 70's throwback.

Enjoy!.

...And Thank You!
The return to an identifiable song cycle helps, rather than hinders, leader/guitarist Carlos Santana's efforts to merge jazz fusion and Latin rock, while the settled and tested band lineup - who recorded WELCOME in the midst of touring the world and had created the awe-inspiring LOTUS, which features superior "premakes" of several numbers from this collection, on stage in Japan just a few weeks earlier - gives the album a stronger, more consistent personality, as well as superior performances. While most Santana fans - and most reviewers - tend to give CARAVANSERAI the nod over WELCOME, I actually prefer this 1973 set to its more airy-fairy predecessor. A few silly lyrics notwithstanding, this is a tight and powerful entry in Santana's catalogue, and for my money a more successful stylistic stretch than CARAVANSERAI. I'd almost be tempted to give it five stars if not for the existence of the even better LOTUS, and can unreservedly recommend it to all Santana and/or fusion enthusiasts. .

Outstanding Classic
I can't tell you how many times I have purchased this CD Just Love It.
