Editoral Review Satan's Pilgrims haven't attempted anything as pretentious as trying to redefine the surf genre or somehow give it a '90s twist. Though this band features two Crackerbash expatriates, its sound is 100 percent surf. Nope, they go for that authentic sound: twangy guitars (three of 'em!) dripping with reverb, warmed by vintage tube amps that ride the cresting, eminently danceable rhythm section. Satan's Pilgrims mix a good number of shakin' originals with a few covers, creating an album that is a perfect soundtrack for summertime backyard barbecues. --Adem Tepedelen ..
