Great
And this released proved me wrong on how boring acoustic may be. I was never a fan of acoustic material, from any band, I always thought it was boring etc. Chris Conley has such an amazing voice and talent with song writing (he wrote most of the guitar parts in all of their cds. . even when he just sang) and this just proves the talent he has. each song is mainly up tempo and extremly catchy, its too bad "The way his collar falls" wasnt released on cd version (its vinyl only) because thats one of the best acoustic songs from Chris, and the rest of the band.

A solid EP
The album "Ups&Downs Early Recordings" that came out, is arguably the most desirable album. The first STD album I heard was 'Through Being Cool', I am a native of New Jersey and grew up with Saves the Day and all of their albums. . . and it is a compilation. But truly this unappreciated EP is a necessity for any STD fan. To hear the acoustic songs on this album makes you appreciate the range of STD so much more, and i doubt Chris Conley sounds any better than on this gravelly recording. It is really a must get for a fan of emo and STD, i only don't give it a 5/5 because it is an EP and the cover song that concludes it sticks out as the only shaky song.

gives me the chills
I must agree with a review below. . . Chris puts Chris Carraba to shame with the true power with his emo songs on this cd. "I'm Sorry I'm Leaving" is a very powerful song with very deep lyrics. If you have a couple bucks lying around, I would recommend it to anybody.
