Customer Reviews ...And Now for Something Completely Different! ' That could be all one needs to say in the review of this album and it would describe it perfectly. 'This album completely blew me away. Whether or not you are a fan of 'Old-School' Saves The Day (STD) or just boarding the bus, this is a must-buy. This incredible collection of thirteen tracks starts out with singer Chris Conley yelling into the microphone followed by some of the best bass playing on any recent pop-punk album to date. Just as hard as the album initially starts off it stays through the second and third song, finally giving you a rest on the forth - a beautifully crafted love song that will have you trying to sing along before you know the lyrics. The album's entirety is wonderfully mixed with a 'just perfect amount' of hard-edged songs. The slower songs are so well done that even if you aren't a fan of 'that type' of music, you'll find yourself excited to get to another slow track (theres two) just so you can hear it. Yeah, they're that well done. Fans of "In Reverie" should take caution when buying this album because it doesn't sound anywhere near as poppy. This album is fast-paced and threaded with dark lyrics not sounding anything like what STD has ever recorded before. Even when compared to their earlier works like "Through being Cool" and "Stay What You Are", this album flies miles above them with a lyrical deepness and a very noticeable mastery of their musicianship. Every drum beat, guitar chord, and bass line strike with intent regardless of the pacing of the song - couple that with vivid lyrical imagery and you have the best STD album to date and one of the best pop-punk albums ever. .
